"Gujarat Adani Institute of Medical Sciences" (GAIMS) is a unique first ever Public-Private Partnership (PPP) between Adani Group and Govt. of Gujarat, under which a high-tech Medical College was established at Bhuj in 2009. GAIMS is part of Adani Group''s Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives and is managed by Adani Foundation. I am happy to convey that GAIMS has been recognized by Medical Council of India (MCI) in June 2014 for 150 seats intake for MBBS program. Post-Graduate medical programs are also underway with 61 seats in different subjects. The attached teaching hospital is more than 750 bedded multi-specialty modern hospital with all necessary support services. The campus is spread across 27 acres of land in the midst of Bhuj city, housing a Medical College, Teaching Hospital, Hostels for Boys and Girls and Quarters for Staff and Residents.
Practicing medicine is about dealing with people and understanding the world we live in. We are focusing more on Technology, Clinical Research and High-end Infrastructure to provide Quality Healthcare Delivery to our patients and stakeholders.
We view our medical students as the next generation of medical leaders, and we train and treat them accordingly. Adding Super Specialty branches for providing greater and deeper opportunities to our students is our mission. To support this, we intend to make GAIMS a research-intensive institute. Collaboration with leading global healthcare institutes is also underway. There is a partnership and mutual respect between our students and faculty that is rarely duplicated. Our students have the chance to learn not just from the great minds who populate our faculty, but from the bedsides of patients from whom we all learn so much.
