  • Adani Group submitted Detailed Project Report (DPR) to Govt. of Gujarat for starting of Medical College at Bhuj.
  • GAIMS submitted Application for setting up a Medical College at Bhuj to Central Government.

    2009

  • Special Government Resolution passed by Govt. of Gujarat for Handing over GK General Hospital, Bhuj to GAIMS for 99 years and constitution of committee
  • GAIMS received Letter of Permission from Central Government to Start a Medical College with intake of 150 from the academic year 2009-10.

    2010 to 2012

  • Letter of Permission from MCI for each year for intake of 150 for each academic year.
  • Writ Petition in Gujarat High Court against handing over of GK General Hospital to GAIMS which was dismissed by Gujarat High Court.

    2013

  • Agreement executed between Government of Gujarat and GAIMS for handing over of G K General Hospital, Bhuj on 99 years lease.
