The operating theatre suite of GAIMS is built independent complex in the hospital, located away from the main flow of traffic but it is in an area easily accessible to the critical care, surgical and the support service departments.
The main operation theatre has one state of art modular OT used for orthopedic, Surgical and ENT surgeries. Six OR are for major surgeries and 2 modular OR for minor surgeries. 1 Modular OR for Scopey.
For Ophthalmic surgeries, there were 2 OT room near to ophthalmology department. One modular OT for major surgeries and one for minor.
There are total 3 Major OT in OBGY department, in which One is modular OT and other 2 are non-modular.
All OT rooms are equipped with advanced equipment.
The Pre & post-operative recovery area is available in each OT complex, with resuscitation facilities.
Expert surgeons & anesthetists are available to perform all types of surgeries in coordination with pharmacy, radiology, pathology & infection control department.
The traffic within the operating theatre is controlled. It only allows access to consultants, staff, patients and equipment’s from a single entrance and exit.
