● The department caters to an average of 120 out patients per day along with performing many routine and advance procedures.
● Diagnosis and treatment of various dermatological & venereal diseases, leprosy, HIV/AIDS and cosmetology in OPD on daily basis.
● In door patient management in ward on regular basis for autoimmune connective tissue diseases, papulosquamous & vesiculobullous disorders, leprosy and lepra reactions, carrying out bed side investigations like KOH for fungus examination, Tzanck smear for vesiculobullous disorders, slit skin smears & ZN stain for Acid fast bacilli.
● Managing dermatological emergencies like Stevens Johnson syndrome/ toxic epidermal necrolysis, adverse cutaneous drug reactions, acute urticaria with angioedema, erythroderma etc.
● Conducting peripheral outreach services at various sites
